Ahhh...3:30p Tokyo time...1:30 am in the States...just out on the crisp (50 degree F) clean streets and made it to a coffee shop.  Sitting in the smoking section of Doutou with a cappuccino and cream roll, and my latest vape incarnation to worship at the altar of sweet mother nicotine...aahhhh. Period. 

Life? Dunno. Musing for sure, after 18+ hours of American Gods by Neil Gaiman of Good Omens legend...waiting for the scaffolding to rearrange…. 

Looking at the buttoned-up patrons through a stink of tobacco smoke so unfriendly in the US rn.  Listening to a bizarre mix of old school jazz standards and disco...wondering for the gajillionth time where is my place in this world? Do I make it? Find it? 

Dunno. For sure.  

Maybe...where I am? Who I am? But who...or what...is that? 

Watched Yesterday on the 15hr flight over...mix of ugh, rah rah, and deep gratitude for seeing just the actor’s portrayal of John Lennon...and musing on what that meant. 

So the coffee and sweet roll is done. And I’m wondering if I’ll get the stink off my clothes and hair before I join the school group tonight...still looking. Jazz club? Piano bar? Park?
